Perri’s team lost the last three games.

They were really good games, I just haven’t had time to write about them. I will try to write this afternoon after her game today. Wish us luck, we play the “Venom” AGAIN!

Softball Saturday

Team to beat: Venom

This game was all but lost before it even started, you know this team from my previous posts. This is the team we don’t like because the coach “Stacked” the team and long story short, it’s not fair.

So they get up first which means we get last up’s which could be a good thing. As usual they get 4 runs and the inning is over. Now it’s our turn. We started out slow but held our own, we got three runs and had them scared! of course they get up again and get 4 more runs it’s now 8-3, our turn again, we get nothing, NOTHING! no runs, ouch! this is going to be a long game! They get up again and once again get 4 runs it’s now 12-3, could it get any worse?  You think I’m going to say ” Yes, it could and did get worse” but wait……something turned in the Lightning dug out, the girls were chanting ” we need and raly, raly, raly uunn!” over and over. Then they come up to bat and have fire in thier eyes, they all want to hit, they all want to win, it’s time for this team to go down!

So we get started, Kendra comes up and gets a base hit, then Cassidy got up and smacked the ball to the outfield which caught this team off gaurd, Kendra who was on first base started running to second and the coach just kept telling her to RUN, RUN, RUN!!! so she did, the other team kept getting errors, they couldn’t believe we got a hit and a good one! So Kendra runs all the way home and Cassidy got to second, Perri came up and walked, still no outs, Brandy gets up and hits the ball, not very far but the other team scrambled, Cassidy can run fast enough to get home, Perri is now on third, she can’t run fast enough to go all the way home so she waits for her chance to steal home. We now have 5 runs. it’s 12-5, and we had a raly, raly, raly uunn! Next batter comes up and walks. Perri takes off from thrid base in and effort to get another run for the team, and she SLIDES INTO HOME! it was the most perfect slide which errned yet another run for her team. We have the bases loaded and are on a roll. it’s now 12-6 and by the time the inning got over the score was 12-9, we only needed 4 runs to win! we can do that! well, they may have thought they would make thier lead even bigger when they got up but WAIT! Lightning was not going to allow that. They got up and we got three outs just like that! We had them right where we wanted them because we still get our last ups! All we need is to get a few hits even just a few walks if we can just get our girls on base we can win this game! Oh my gosh, I was stressing!

So this is what happend!  The coach of the other team, SIMON, put all his All Star players in the infield. He was so worried that we could actually win this game, he puts his A TEAM in to shut us down! and that’s just what happened. we got two girls on base but were never able to get them home before they got three outs on us. GAME OVER!  WHATEVER!

We scared em!  We’ll get them next time!
