Perri received the “High Flyer” Award today at school. This award is given out to two kids in each grade level each week. For the most part each kid, by the end of the school year, gets this award. Although some don’t, Perri has always gotten her award. And we are very proud. She works very hard in school, loves it and wants to be there. So each and every Friday, they have what is called “Friday Flag”, where they do the Pledge of Allegience, a little singing, and lots of awards. It’s supposed to be a surprise, BUT Perri always finds out. We actually thought we got her this week. David took her to work, and left the parking lot to park off campus so she wouldn’t know. I stayed behind at home, still in my jammies making her believe, mommy got the morning off from taking Perri to school. They left the house, I ran to the bedroom, got dressed at met David outsid the school. As they were naming the High Flyers, I was watching Perri, I don’t think she saw us, but she took her jacket off, fixed her hair a little…….And then I knew! Damn it! She knows she’s getting the award!  Her name is called and the smile is turned on and she bounces up to the front to receive her award. Here are a
